Smart Lab Blink, Light, LED Codes
The blue light on the front of the meter reports the status of the meter. There’s four main states.
- Blue light is on and every 2 seconds blinks off – this is the idle state.
- Blue light is on constantly – this is the state when Smartlab application is open and/or the lab is ready to run a test.
- Blue light is out and every 2 seconds blinks on – this is the low power state. There is a rare run of labs that can suffer from entering a low power state loop, usually because of a power outage of something at the store location. The simplest way to attempt to recover from a lower power state is to refresh the lab’s impression of what kind of voltage it’s getting. Quite simply, unplug the power from the lab, wait 10 seconds, plug the power back in. While this doesn’t always work, it works fairly often.
- Blue light is out – in this state, the meter is not getting power at all, usually because it’s not plugged into the wall.
